NZ Reported power outages up 36%

Eaton has just released the Blackout Tracker Annual Report for 2017.  This annual report is based on reported outages and overall, in 2017 the number of blackouts across New Zealand increased by 36%.  The total duration of outages increased a whopping 273% to 22,767 with 490,636 people affected.   The top three cases of outages were weather and falling trees, faulty equipment or human error and vehicle accidents.  Our hope is that these results prompt you to take the appropriate action to prepare for power outages that could dramatically affect you or your organisation.     Blackout_Tracker_Annual_Report_ANZ_2017_Final_-_12Mar18
