UPSPS superstar reaches milestone
We are delighted to have had the chance to celebrate one of our longest serving members of the UPS Power Solutions team this month.
Our amazing service coordinator, Annette Bovey has reached the 15-year milestone with us, and we quickly realised that one simple job title doesn’t even come close to covering the breadth of work she has done since she joined us in 2008.
In 2008 UPS Power Solutions had begun to get very busy. Adding an experienced and exceptionally well-organised person like Annette to the team was a no-brainer.
It very quickly turned out to be a perfect union as Annette set about establishing so many of the systems and processes that help the business run smoothly and keep our customers delighted with our high levels of service today.
Since beginning as our Sales Support Administrator on a part time basis, Annette has happily and capably worn every hat we could find her. From receptionist, sales support, accounts & finance, stock control, mail management, file management to name a few!
Over the years she has worked mainly out of our Wellington branch but was instrumental in the creation of our Christchurch branch with her new home serving as our temporary office, warehouse and distribution centre before the official opening of the new branch.
Most people expand their duties over time however Annette has narrowed hers to focus on her particular superpower: supporting our aftersales service offering.
In fact she has entirely optimised it so much that when asked by customers how we manage our after sales services, UPSPS business development director, Graham Blackmore has frequently been heard to say “We have Annette – she will get you sorted!”
Annette has helped to set the benchmark for performance at UPSPS, not only in the delivery of our service offering but in supporting her colleagues and being an overall amazing workmate. Our team had countless anecdotes of how valuable her advice, support and counsel has been over the years.
By 2008 we had already decided on our mission statement and can honestly say that she truly embodies our values and has provided us all with leadership, laughs and lessons in class. We feel very fortunate that she chose and chooses to work with us.
The traditional 15-year wedding anniversary gift is crystal, but we didn’t think that was sufficient to recognise her efforts. We think that she deserves a holiday after putting up with us all this time and hope that she enjoys a break away on us.
