Continued success at Partner Awards
The Eaton partner awards were held in Sydney last week to recognise the achievements and performance of its partner network throughout 2024.
UPS Power Solutions (UPSPS) was excited to see its corporate sales manager, Sam Lingman, pick up the Channel Champion – Distributor award.
UPSPS managing director, Nicky Blackmore says this award is a fitting culmination to an amazing year for Sam and a great reflection of his hard work and determination to consistently deliver excellent outcomes for our customers.
“Behind every individual achievement lies a collective effort and this award not only celebrates Sam but every member of our team. He is a real success story of our career pathway scheme and we couldn’t be more proud of him,” she says.
2024 was a big year for Lingman, beginning with his promotion to the role of corporate sales manager shortly before celebrating 10-years with the company.
He also acknowledges the contribution of the wider UPSPS team, highlighting that their efforts played a substantial role in winning this award.
“It’s been a privilege to help grow this company and see so many talented people join us and stay with us. I’m grateful that I get to work with them every day and share these achievements with them,

New award category
Eaton added to its categories at this year’s partner event with the introduction of the inaugural Wholesaler of the year award which was won by J.A.Russell Ltd.
With a team of 800 and a network of over 80 branches nationwide, the company is synonymous with a consistently high level of service and ample provision of high-quality products and solution for the electrical industry.
Nicky Blackmore says that this award is well deserved for long-term partner J. A. Russell.
“We enjoy a fantastic relationship with J. A. Russell that is founded on a shared commitment to deliver the very best products and solutions to our customers and a mutual respect for industry-leading technical knowledge and dedication to impeccable service,” she says.
Blackmore also highlights the crucial role that UPSPS’s channel sales manager, Luana Downing has had in developing and strengthening this partnership.
“Luana truly embodies the aspects that make UPSPS and J. A. Russell and excellent fit. Her efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and willingness to be continuously available to our customers and partners is a pivotal part of our success,” says Blackmore.
